How do I tame my frizzy hair (curly and straight)?

Almost all of us (95 percent of GH's tester panel!) struggle with frizz. On those scorching-hot summer days, however, even anti-frizz items don't always seem to work. One explanation for a product's failure? Waiting too long after a shower to apply it, allowing frizz to develop, particularly in a steamy bathroom. Another reason is that, similar to how plant roots seek out the closest source of water in the soil, the hair seeks out the closest source of moisture in the air. The result is a head full of frizz that can detract from even the most attractive appearance. Although you can't zap the moisture from the air on a hot summer day, you can moisten your hair so that it doesn't need to look for it anywhere.

Cut off any dead and split ends, they will cause more harm as frizz moves up the strand, so get a haircut as soon as you begin to see split ends. You may believe that you must shampoo your hair every time you shower, but this is simply not true. Also the most effective frizz-fighting shampoos will strip your hair of its natural oils and moisturizers. To hold in your natural moisture, switch between using shampoo and conditioner one day and just condition the next day.

Only condition hair from the nape of the neck all the way to the ends. After the process you will see some flyaway strands until your hair is dried and styled. Before combing them into your hair, spray them with an alcohol-free hairspray using a sterile mascara wand or toothbrush. These tools are ideal for securing each hair into place for a smooth bun or a high-ponytail that keeps the hair out of your face and lasts all day thanks to their tight bristles. We highly recommend using STRONGENDS Hydrating & Strengthening Shampoo. STRONGENDS shampoo helps remove build-up on the scalp and hair, detangles, and infuses deep moisture to help revive dull, lifeless hair. As for conditioners, use our Curls & Naturals Triple Moisture Leave-In Conditioner
